Salman donated Blood at a camp : Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has independently done a lot in the country with his Being Human, Salman Khan today donated blood at a camp organised by a city NCP leader to mark the birthday of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and also to facilitate blood supply for the victims of Mumbai blasts. All his fans were seen jostling and craning their necks to get a glimpse of their favorite actor when he arrived at the camp at Sambhaji Park. Organisers said around 7,000 people donated blood.

Any film, dance or song that he does directly earns the ‘hit’ tag. The actor is also known to take an active interest in production work as can be seen during the post-production of his next release Ready. Salman say said, “It’s important to understand what works and what doesn’t. So I just give my suggestions in areas I kind of know about. But I am an actor more than anything else. For instance, I wanted the Dhinka chika song to be released closer to the release date of the film. It’s like a brainteaser and works in the film’s favour.”
Salman wanted to be a Director : Now days actors are turning producer, producers are trying their acting skills. One of the best actors of Bollywood, Salman Khan, reveals that he wanted to be a director and not an actor. When he went to people with scripts, people would ask him, "Why you want to be a director, you should be an actor.” Salman has told the media, "The existing directors who were around 50-60 years old, looked very mature. And no one would trust me with that much of money at stake.” As people did not take him seriously he started his journey of an actor by modeling and later signed his first film. But Salman as a actor has given many hits and after outstanding performances in WANTED and DABANNG everyone wants to see more of him. The wait is over as Salman comes with READY whose promos seem very convincing. Salman Khan is a great dancer and actor and whatever he does is with a lot of passion. He being a director is still a big question as all his fans love him as an actor and we all will believe... Direction can be done later!
Salman hates Piracy! : All know by now that Salman Khan has a heart of gold and recently the star danced with spastic children and signed autographs for them but didn’t allow media to capture his noble deeds. He prefers to keep mum on his charity side and also wants people and media to be part of the cause to support humanitarian approach. When asked about his charity work, Salman said, “I believe charity should not be discussed but awareness should be spread about any cause. At times, people term it to be a show-off medium but I don’t believe in that, tum mein dum hai toh tum bhi karo na.” Salman has annoyance regarding the fake Being Human T-shirts in the market. He says, “There cannot be anything worse than the fact that there are people who can produce fake t-shirts and make money out of it. I feel very dejected when I realize that people can be so ethically corrupt that they don’t think about the cause. I also agree to it that even piracy exists in Bollywood but this kind of piracy is something, I will never forgive.” With the kindness of his behavior he might have become an powerful personality but also expects support from people and media to curb the deep rooted piracy issue. “I feel instead of writing about fights between celebs, relationships and their personal life, media should actively write about such issues and highlight the reality for public,” he ends. Salman believes that Indian mentality should change and people should start raising voice against the corruption in our country. Salman to work out for 'Bodyguard' : Superstar Salman Khan seems to be all charged up for his role as a bodyguard in the forthcoming romantic-action film with the same name, and is planning to hit the gym soon to beef up for looking the part. The Bollywood actor, who posted pictures showing his muscles on micro-blogging site said, "Not been working out after Dabangg....In Dabangg also worked out for a week before climax. Gonna start hitting the gym after a week for `Bodyguard`." The 45-year-old was last seen showing his fit body in the role of a fearless cop in the 2010 blockbuster opposite Shatrughna Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi. Besides, to get into the skin of the character in the next release, Salman also followed World Cup matches to observe security men managing VIPs among the stadium crowd.
Salman donates 15 Lacks secretly to homeless : He loves ‘being human’ but is also secretive in certain charity works. Actor Salman Khan has unnoticeably donated a hefty amount around Rs 1.5 million to the slum’s residents of Garib Nagar who lost their homes in the Major fire last month. A source said, “Bhai was disturbed after hearing thousands slums dwellers who had gone homeless, he decided to do something for them. Though Salman has an NGO Being Human, he opted not to get funds on the account to avoid media glare”. Another source said, Salman’s relative personally arrived at Garib Nagar through a local political leader and is said to have paid a donation of around Rs 15 Lakhs and also contributed in stocking of food for the homeless. “I know Salman and his family since childhood. In fact Salman is gone on his mother Salma who believes in charity and he has full heartedly extended his support towards the distressed people of Garib Nagar", says Asif Bamla, President of We Love India (NGO) which was initiated by late actor turned politician Sunil Dutt. Salman is said to have also visited the area fortnight ago to check whether the funds were distributed correctly. “He was seen on his cycle with his friends late in the night and discreetly took ride and whisked away before the locals could recognise him.” added a Salim Sheikh, a local activist from Behrampada. A major fire devastated Garib Nagar on night March 04, 2011 which adjoins the Behrampada slum outside Bandra (east) railway station. Eleven people were injured as the blaze reduced nearly 2,000 shanties to cinders. The fire was brought under control in next three hours but the damage was massive.
