Shahid - flying F-16 was the most exhilarating experience :

Bollywood Actor Shahid Kapoor, who had the rare experience of flying multirole jet fighter aircraft F-16 to adapt persona of a fighter pilot for his upcoming film "Mausam", takes pride in being the only film actor to have flown that ultimate flying machine.

Shaid told reporters at the first look of the film at the PVR, "I was quite fortunate that I flew an F-16 fighter plane. I don't think any other actor has ever flown an F-16. Even when actor Tom Cruise had done 'Top Gun' he had flown an F15. I was very fortunate to get that opportunity. It was a very exciting experience for me."





The actor had flown the American fighter aircraft at the AeroIndia defence exhibition in Bangalore earlier this year. He stated that he is not much fond of flying a plane, but flying the American fighter aircraft was the most exhilarating experience that one can have.

He had taken thorough training prior to flying the plane. Kaminey actor visited air force bases and met air force pilots; he had put on the G-suit, sat on the plane, and carefully observed how the pilots walk with their helmets



In his next film Mausam which is his father Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut, he plays the role of an Air Force pilot.

The film has Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in the lead. The film lined up to hit theatres on 16th of September.
